Victorian Businesses in Ruthin​

Some 20 years ago, while clearing up after a fire in The Star Inn in Ruthin, several bundles of papers were discovered sequestered under a bed!
​
These turned out to be a very large collection of invoices and bills from the Victorian era, mainly 1840s to 1870s, providing a wealth of information concerning the businesses operating in Ruthin at that time. Many of these bills related to purchases by Ruthin Gaol.
